What is a livestock mini-session?

Group Mini Sessions allow three or more exhibitors to share one morning or evening of photography at the same location. Each exhibitor receives their own individual portrait session, gallery, and edited images while sharing the convenience and cost of a group event.

Who is it for?

Group Mini Sessions are perfect for:

  • FFA Chapters or 4-H Clubs

  • County show barns

  • Groups of show friends

  • Families who board together

  • Livestock producers with several exhibitors

If three or more exhibitors would like professional portraits, booking a mini session as part of a group is often the most convenient and affordable option.

Where is it?

Sessions can take place wherever your animals already live, including:

  • Family farms

  • County or school barns

  • Working farms

  • Livestock show facilities

I travel to your location for the morning or evening, so animals remain in a familiar environment. Typically, group shoots will occur where the animals live, but if the group has a preferred location in mind, I am happy to photograph there.

Exhibitors are welcome to trailer in to where the shoot is booked, if they don't typically keep their animals at the shoot location. In that way, entire show teams can be covered.

How does it work?
  1. Gather at least three exhibitors who would like portraits.

  2. Choose a farm or barn and a sunrise or sunset date.

  3. I'll send everyone a preparation guide with clothing, animal preparation, and scheduling information.

  4. Each exhibitor receives an individual 20–30 minute portrait session.

  5. After the sessions, everyone receives their own private online gallery to choose their favorite images.

  6. Final edited images are delivered after selections are made.

Who Organizes It?

Anyone can organize a Group Mini Session. They can be coordinated by:

  • FFA advisors

  • 4-H Extension agents

  • County show barns

  • Show team parents

  • Class of seniors

  • Group of friends

  • Livestock families

The organizer simply gathers interested exhibitors and helps choose a date and location. Each exhibitor books, pays, and receives their own gallery individually. I handle the photography, image galleries, and final delivery.

Why Choose a Group Mini Session?

Group Mini Sessions make professional livestock portraits affordable and convenient without booking a full-length session. They work well for exhibitors who want beautiful images with their animal while sharing travel time and scheduling with friends.

Benefits include:

  • More affordable than a full session

  • Convenient scheduling for multiple exhibitors

  • Animals stay at their own barn

  • Great for friends or teammates

  • Individual galleries for every exhibitor

  • Professional portraits before animals are sold or retire

  • Perfect for first-time professional portraits

Can different species be photographed?

Yes! I photograph horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats. Groups are welcome to include a mix of species if everyone is at the same location.

Can exhibitors bring more than one animal?

Each mini session is designed for one exhibitor and one animal, so every participant receives the same amount of photography time. If you'd like to photograph more than one animal, consider two mini sessions or one of the two full packages including multiple animals.

What if it rains?

If weather doesn't cooperate, we'll reschedule for another available sunrise or sunset.

Let's Plan Your Group Mini Session

Once three or more exhibitors are interested, contact me, and we'll choose a date, location, and schedule that works for everyone.
