Senior Session Spotlight: Ella & Patrick

For her senior portraits, Ella—Class of 2025—chose something close to her heart: a horse and rider photo session. She was joined by Patrick, a tall, bay Warmblood gelding who’s been more than just a lesson horse to her. He’s been a true partner on her equestrian journey.

Patrick is the horse Ella says she’s learned the most from. He’s helped shape her into the rider she is today, and their connection is clear in every frame. Some of Ella’s favorite memories with Patrick are their summertime trail rides around the farm after lessons—those slow, evening rides that feel like something out of a storybook.

Now that Patrick is retired, their bond has only grown. These days, Ella spends quiet, meaningful time with him—grooming, bathing, and taking long walks around the property. He’s incredibly handsome, with a calm, kind energy, and was one of the most well-behaved, laid-back horses I’ve ever worked with. His outgoing personality shines through, and it's easy to see why Ella loves him so much.

I'm so glad Ella and Patrick had the chance to do this horse and rider session together. It was such a sweet way to celebrate not just her senior year, but the special bond they’ve built over the years.
