Senior Portraits at the Georgia National Fairgrounds

I had the pleasure of photographing Olivia’s senior portraits during the State Livestock Show in Perry, Georgia. Even though it was February, we made the most of the season—capturing her in front of the Georgia National Fairgrounds’ iconic flags, vibrant pink blooms near Reeves Arena, pops of color from the fair food stands, a quiet grove of trees, and finally, by the picturesque fairgrounds’ pond. Each location reflected Olivia’s story, showcasing the dedication she’s put into agriculture and her community over the years.

I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Olivia through her active involvement in the dairy industry, especially as a member of the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation Junior Board, a non-profit I also volunteer with. She’s been showing dairy heifers since 7th grade and is a fierce competitor in showmanship. Olivia has also excelled in the state FFA Dairy Evaluation CDE, winning both individually and as part of a team. She works on a local dairy every month, gathering milk production data—a job that speaks to her dedication to the industry.

Olivia isn’t just passionate about dairy; she’s also an FFA officer and regularly competes in multiple CDEs. Outside of agriculture, she’s an avid runner, competing in cross country and track, and has volunteered for years in the Jr. Zookeeper Program at Chehaw, a local park and zoo, as well as the Flint River Aquarium. Olivia’s ultimate goal is to attend the University of Georgia and become a large animal vet. As a UGA graduate, I’m thrilled to see her head to Athens and continue her journey through the College of Agriculture. It was an honor to help capture Olivia’s senior year and highlight her love for dairy cattle, FFA, and animals.
